Description
Aubergine (or eggplant) is a plant species in the nightshade family Solanaceae. The eggplant is a delicate, tropical perennial plant often cultivated as a tender or half-hardy annual in temperate climates.
Eggplant can be steamed, stir-fried, pan fried, deep fried, barbecued, roasted, stewerd, curried or pickled. Many eggplant dishes are sauces made by mashing the cooked fruit. It can be stuffed. It is frequently cooked with fat.
